I Love Rain!!!!

I'm a weirdo. Honestly, I love rain. I go outside when it's raining and I dance and walk around in the fresh, clean air. Inside spaces are so stuffy to me. It's been raining and pouring where I live for the past week. It makes me happy. This air that we have is perfect, nice, and makes me happy.

This is how I feel in the rain.
P.S.
I went to a high school basketball game this weekend and cheered for the wrong team a few times. It was actually on purpose. I know basketball to well to do it on accident.

Disney Addiction

Being the girl I am, I love to look on Pintrest for funny Disney quotes and/or memes. I've seen all sorts of funny things, but recently I saw a couple funny things about Emperor Kuzko. (I have no idea how to spell his name, but it's the guy who turns into a llama in The Emperor's New Groove.) There was a thing that gave the main characteristic of the Disney princesses. He was on there as FABULOUS! Ha, I'm not calling anyone fabulous who through an old man out a window, just saying. Even though he did become "good" at the end, I still think fabulous is a strong word.

My favorite Disney movie is probably Tangled. I've found all sorts of funny things on Pintrest about this and I have a special board for Tangled. Flynn Rider is by far my main character, although I did think about Pascel. They look cute together, don't they? I think Flynn looks better with Rapunzel though.

Well, I love Disney! That's all I have to say.
Keep Calm and Love Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHH! Child Labor in China!!!!

I was looking for information on child labor for a story I'm writing. I found some pretty terrible stuff that made me want to go to China and give my lives saving to the people there. (They would only get like, 10 cents each, but, it's the thought that counts.)

"Printed in the Los Angeles Times was an article about the deaths of five girls who were child laborers in Beixin-Zhuang , China , and the cover-ups by their employers. A couple of days before Christmas, it was a little past one in the morning, and after a long, twelve hour shift, the five girls went back to their rooms. After burning some coal, they warmed up their room and fell asleep, but never woke up. It was said that the fumes had poisoned them, but there was more to it than that. The owner of the canvas-making factory was supposedly scared to find the girls unconscious, especially because three of them were underage workers. Because of this, he put them into their caskets while still alive. “'You see the damage on the corner of the box, the bruises on the side of her head, and the vomit in her hair?' said Jia Haimin, the mother of 14-year-old Wang Yajuan, pointing to pictures of her daughter lying in a cardboard casket stained with vomit and appearing to show evidence of a struggle. ‘Dead people can't bang their heads against the box. Dead people can't vomit. My child was still alive when they put her in there.'” Because school tuition in rural areas cost about $300 per person, many rural girls drop out of school because their parents need their help, and they can't afford tuition for more than one child. Jia Wanyun, 14, who was one of the five girls who died in the canvas-making factory, started working there only a month before her death. She was promised $100 a year, but hadn't been paid anything because she was still an apprentice. As an apprentice however, she still worked 12 hours a day, seven days a week. At the end of the trial, the families accepted about $12,000 each and agreed to drop all charges.

The death of these five young girls isn't the only case in which children had died in the line of work. In the Los Angeles Times, there is a story about a mass death within yet another factory. In 2001, an explosion at a rural school killed 42 people, most of them being third and fourth graders. These children were believed to be making fireworks at the time of the blast, forcing you to assume that it was these exact fireworks that they were working on that had killed them. Whether it may have been an accident on their part, or something else, it doesn't erase the fact that a number of third and fourth graders had died on the job."

Isn't that the worst thing you've ever heard! Here is the website, in case you want to read the whole article.

Just keep in mind that if these people didn;t work in these places, they would have no money, so we can't be totally against this. I just think there should be an age you can start working, like here, and way better working conditions.
On that happy note, have a good day, and change the world! (positively please)

Happy New Year!

Happy new year everyone! Welcome to the day of the year that you get up at 11:00 AM and then are still tired all day because you should' have gone to sleep earlier and gotten up earlier. Yeah, my happy new year is more like I can't wait for tomorrow, when I can get a normal amount of sleep. My little princess sisters ate breakfast at lunch time, which I usually consider 11:00, but not today since I ate at 10:00ish myself.

Only 4 days till I have to go back to school, counting today! I better make them last, and no, I will no say YOLO because I hate that saying.

Wow

I am so sorry I haven't written in so many months, but I've been so busy. I actually just got done with volleyball which I did't know was so fun. I had a really good time doing it even though our team wasn't super good.
So one of the characters in my book has lost like, everyone in her family. Her mom and sister died, and her brother ran away, so she lives with her dad, little sister, and her pet. I'm trying to do something with the girls being able to help everyone feel better and become friends, but I'm not really sure yet what is going to happen.

SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am super excited for summer! Maybe I'll get farther on my book I'm writing, what with all the traveling and all. I also plan on buying at least 4 books from the buy one, get one free book fair at my school. They all have to be books I've never read so I can have them for summer. Last year I got 2 really good books from that book fair so I hope they have good ones this year too.

I have to do this project in math with a group and present it by the end of May. It's on inequalities and we're doing a PowerPoint. I hope it turns out good. Not that I don't totally believe in my group though. I think we can do it and make it turn out awesome if we all do work on ti.

I haven't gone on an airplane since I was like, 1, and this year I am! I went on a 4 or 5 seater small airplane a few summers ago, but not a jet plane! It's going to be soooo cool!
