Love, Life, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Mostly, I just wanted to write about life, but I needed a cool post title. Plus, all 3 of these things are very big in my life. Love is a lot of me. My royal familia (I think that's how you spell family in Spanish), and I are great! We may not be the perfect family, but that's OK. We've actually had what I'm going to call funny tears.

Life is going pretty much great for me. I got strait A's on my report card, which made me very happy! :) I'm also doing a writing contest that the 1st prize in is a $200 gift card to Fred Meyer! The second and third prizes have money too. I really want to win. It would be sooooo great!

The pursuit of happiness is me, all the time. Usually, I'm trying to be happy. I love to be happy so I try to be nice to everyone which makes me happy! You know, my posts usually aren't very long, so I'm so very sorry if this is not your cup of tea. Or I guess hot chocolate if you don't drink tea... like me. And then if you aren't allowed or don't drink either than I guess this isn't your glass of water? I really don't know. Wait! For hot cocoa, it would be mug!

Spring Has Sprung!

It's the first day of spring! Spring is my favorite season because it's not too warm or too cold. Poetry is not my strong suit, but I'm going to try to make a poem using the letters of the word.

S-Sunshine
P-Peaceful
R-Rainbows
I-Ice melt
N-No snow
G-Gardening

I'll admit, I did look up spring words for a lot of those describing words. I told you poetry is not my strong suit. Ta-da! Spring, right there. I LOVE spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This whole next week I don't have school, starting today! It's spring break for me! Prince Charming and Jasmine's spring break doesn't start until tomorrow. Jasmine is going to sort of start today, but also sota Sunday. Don't ask.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while and when I finally do it's really short. I've just been busy lately. Oh, you remember that vocabulary quiz I was worried about... well, I'm happy with my grade and don't have to retake which makes me happy!

Laugh!

Laughter is actually the best medicine although it may sound cheesy. A smile can actually make you more happy then you were to begin with. Here, as a happy reminder, is something to laugh at.

It's pretty funny. That's really all for today. I'm really tired.  :);)*) I was experimenting with the smiles.

School For Yours Truly

Today in school, I learned about child farm labor. There were some terrible stories that were in the article we read. There were kids picking blackberries 10 hours a day and the 9 year old was wearing torn latex gloves to reach into the thorns! My hands I'm sure would be covered in blood and hurt really bad. Those are what latex gloves look like if you didn't know. Imagine working in thorns in those!

There was also a story about two 12 year olds. One is a girl and one is a boy. They both work on a farm. The boy was mauled by a combine which is like a tractor thing. It's that 2nd picture down there. Isn't that terrible!? The girl got smashed between 2 pieces of machinery! Their lives got ended short because we have not done anything about child labor.

On a way happier note, I'll talk about my math class. We are talking about integers and I had to teach my group how to multiply and divide integers. Our groups are doing a contest tomorrow on it. It is a one minute time test to test our accuracy and how many problems done. I really want my team to win. I think most days I'm going to post a meme at the end of my post. This is a Frozen meme.

Daylight Savings Time

Ahhhhhhhh! I hate daylight savings time! It whacks me up even when I get an extra hour but losing an hour just about kills me! I woke up this morning and had a sore throat and didn't fell good. Blaming daylight savings time. All through school I was so tired except towards the end of the day in math. See, I get grumpy when I don't get enough sleep, but maybe today I was so out of whack I couldn't be as grumpy as usual. This was me until 12:00. That's from PowerPuff Girls by the way. These are the blessings of little sisters among so many more that have nothing to do  with T.V. Not being sarcastic by the way! Yeah... I was pretty tired.                                                                                          On a happier note, I want to share with you a quote I'm hoping to get into my book. First novelist moment! So the context of this is that a character is talking about another character who is always happy and talking. The character talking is super fashionable and sometimes mean. Here it is.  "All I want in this dang boarding school is good friends, fashion, and a giant cream puff to shove in Marta's mouth." (Marta is the talkative one.) That's a remake quote. The real quote is "All I want in life is peace, love, understanding, and a chocolate bar bigger than my head." I can't figure out who said that, but thanks to thanks person! Fame to them! OK, just as a laugh on this bad day, read these.

Nail Polish and Family

For all you girls out there, don't you love nail polish? I do. Except if it spills on the great hall dining table and you're in trouble because there is no royal remover! Yeah... that actually happened with me and my sisters but I didn't really get in trouble. So since I have a pretty big family, this post is going to be explaining them. Their fairy tale them.

First there's the king and queen. They both rule the castle with grace and dignity. It may be said they have the same authority, but when royal siblings get in trouble, even by the queen, they always seem to scream for the queen. I don't really understand it. The king and queen are both amazing and do a great job caring for us. That's how their fairy tale them looks. I hope you guys get the picture.   (Tangled!!!!)
King & Queen

Then there's my older sister. If she had a princess name, it would be Jasmine. Not because she fell in love with a "peasant" but because she is very independent.

After her is my older brother. He would be Prince Charming. All the girls chase after him and leave him their shoes as keepsakes. Just kidding! About the shoe part at least. The girls do all like him so that's why he's Prince Charming.

Then there's me who you heard about in the first post. I still have a princess me though. I think I'd be Anna from Frozen.

Anna
My younger sister I think would be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I think this because she always protects the queen and Belle protects her dad. Other than that they aren't really similar.

The last member of the royal family is my youngest sister. She is really hard to choose like my other sister. We thought about it and choose Lacey from Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. I don't really know what they have in common other than their size.

Fairy Tale

Yesterday, I really did go to a castle. Although it wasn't this castle, it was very awesome. When I say I went to a castle, I don't mean I read about a castle in the read-in, I really did go to a building that looks like a castle! Just imagine me all dressed up in a beautiful ball gown inside a that castle, dancing. What do you think. Is that me or what? Yeah... maybe I dream a bit too much, but that dress is actually really cute if the neckline is as high as it looks.

I did have a great time during the read-in, but I think I was outside longer than I was reading. That kind of bummed me out.

Did you guys know I really like to sing? One of my favorite songs to sing is Let It Go from Frozen. I actually really like all the Frozen songs, but it's my favorite. Here's the link to "Elsa" singing it if you haven't heard it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moSFlvxnbgk
I hope it actually works.

It's kind of funny that I've said actually 3 times counting this sentence. That really isn't that many times. I thought it was more. Oh well.

Books and Dogsleds

Tomorrow is such a big day for me! We have this thing called the read-in at my school. You wear your pajamas, bring blankets, sleeping bags, and pillows, and get to read and do no work that day. That day just happens to be tomorrow! I'm super excited. I think I'm going to bring at least 2 books. The first one I have in mind is People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPrau. The other one I want to bring is Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner. You know, it this word correction seems to not like my book taste. It says I'm spelling both their last names wrong. That's what I hate about spell-check. I think I also may bring the book I'm writing. Maybe my teacher will let me write and read.

At school in math, my teacher told us about the Iditarod. She let us each pick someone to follow and keep track of their score. I choose a lady named Paige Drobny. Her current position is 30th place last time I checked. Here's a picture of her. I think I noticed her because her hair is red. I have red hair too. I hope she wins. She's already done her 24 hour break too!

In The Beginning

I figure if I tell my posts in story like language, at least sometimes, it will make me more of a novelist, as I called myself. My story is an interesting one you will read a lot about when reading my bog. I've always loved to write, at least I have developed a liking for it a few years ago. Here you will here all about me, or my story me, my story friends and family, and my school stuff. (Although some of the school stuff might be more true.) I'll start off this blog by describing my story me. Keep in mind a lot of this is probably not true.

Once upon a time, there lived a fair maiden beloved by all. (Me!!!!) She lived in a giant comfy home where she could eat all the oreos she wanted. She even had her own room! (Now I'm really wishing this was me.) The townsfolk men would hold a lot of jousts and competitions so they could try to win her heart. She always rejected them, VERY kindly. If you were to describe her looks, you would have to say her hair is the color of gold, her eyes emeralds, and her sense of fashion amazing.

A lot of this space will be used to create stories. I will even share bits and pieces of the book I'm writing with you. This blog is a start of something new. (For those of you who don't get my reference, it's from High School Musical number 1.)
